Drink & Draw No. 5/Laura Alejo

Each month our Drink & Draw sessions will be inspired by the work of a different artist, influencing the styling of the live model and objects around her. Wet and dry materials included but artists are welcome to bring their own, and BYOB!

Open to artists of any skill level; young artists ages 6+ are welcome to attend with a parent

$15 per artist at the door, or pre-register here for $10

I’ve been a creative person all my life, assuming many different roles along the way. From directing an underground graphic design magazine to packaging, to a full career in motion studios and agencies after I moved to NY in 2007.

I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain and I have always been on the run. Career driven and with a twitchy personality, I’ve always channeled my feelings through writing and drawing. 

Since I became a mother in late 2014 I shifted my focus to illustration, specializing in branding, combining it with a growing interest in self expression and storytelling. I was ready to share some of this with the world so I started a different series through instagram focusing on motherhood, big life questions and mental health. I also started a comic series together with my life partner Marcus about the chaos and joys of life.
