Satellite Cinema

Satellite Cinema is a 16mm film screening series for kids taking place monthly on Saturday afternoons. This program highlights the New York Public Library’s extensive holdings with additional support from independent distributors of artists’ films. Programming will include early cinema, silent films, animation, and experimental work. Live music will be performed during silent films. In Spring 2020, following the series will be a cameraless 16mm film animation workshop for kids.

Music of the Spheres Jordan Belson 1977, sound, color, 10 mins. 

Shoot the Moon Red Grooms & Rudy Burckhardt, 1962, sound, black & white, 24 mins. 

TRT: 71 mins.
