Playschool

We offer loving care and enrichment to 2 and 3 year olds, helping children cultivate an understanding of the world around them and a sense of autonomy within it. Learning is interdisciplinary, experiential, and play-based, and our staff of early childhood educators and teaching artists work together to establish a culture of trust, inquiry and sensitivity.

Every day upon arrival, children settle in with an hour of open play and exploration, followed by a morning snack. The class then gathers for circle time, investigating themes and ideas together through stories, dialogue and activities. After that, they spend time outside in the park, on a neighborhood walk, or enjoying sensory play in our little garden. They return to the classroom for lunch, nestle down for a nap, and go home rested and happy.

*We are committed to making this program inclusive and affordable, and while our rates are relatively lower than comparable programs in Bushwick and Ridgewood, we also reserve spots each year for families who qualify for ACS Vouchers, as well as a few sliding scale and work-trade options.
